Packaging

The journey of a shampoo bottle starts well before it reaches your shower! Davines meticulously research the most environmentally friendly packaging options for all their products. They also have a Packaging Research and Development department that employs eco-design principles to explore the least impactful packaging solutions.

One of the most interesting—and unique—aspects of Davines packaging is that it can be reused for other purposes and have a second life even before recycling. For example, the packaging of Essential Haircare or Naturaltech conditioners can become beautiful pots for plants or containers for your small household items. They are also all food-grade plastic so you can use the conditioner containers for your nuts or dips. I personally use the shampoo bottles for my olive oil that I refill.

They are all made from recycled or renewable sourced materials, are lightweight to use minimal plastic, and are all recyclable.

Animal Well-Being

This is our number one priority at ZAYN: animal testing! The Davines Group has consistently prioritised producing top-quality products that adhere to rigorous ethical standards. In alignment with its values, Davines abstains from animal testing of its products and ingredients, and does not authorise third parties to conduct such tests on its behalf.

Ingredients

Preserving endangered plant species is a priority for us! In every Essential Haircare product, you'll discover an active ingredient sourced from an Italian Slow Food Presidium. Together, we're championing sustainability and biodiversity conservation.

All our shampoo and hair colour ingredients are grown locally by organic family farms throughout Italy. After Davines extracts what they need from these vegetables, the seeds are returned to the farmers for replanting—an initiative we're truly proud of! Additionally, we utilise fruits and vegetables that may be overlooked due to their shape or colour, preventing waste and maximising resources.
